Customer Review: Flimsy construction

I used this pepper mill for several months in moderate home use. Here is why I would not buy another one:
- Black handle broke under normal use, rendering it useless.
- Small output per squeeze.
- Plastic grind mechanism that probably will not last long.
So, I would not recommend buying this unit, although it is comfortable and easy to use for the possibly short time it might last.
I'm going to try the Unicorn Peppergun.

It was a great grinder as long as it lasted. I used a couple of weeks and the stationary handle snapped off. It still works if I hold the ball and move the brind handle, but I'll be looking for a new grinder.Customer Review: Get a grip!

I had mine for about 3 or 4 months. The handles are made of plastic with some rubber kind of holding them together. One handled cracked 1/3 of the way up but remained attached because of the rubber connected to it. It is pretty useless now as you have to push the bottom stump of plastic. I won't replace it with another one. Prior to the handle cracking, I thought this was a really great device. This needs to be made with solid metal or stronger plastic.Customer Review: Good pepper mill, but only for tableside

Since the amount of pepper released per press is so low, I think this is only good for use on a table.
If you use it for cooking and want to grind large amounts, prepare to exercise your grip :).

This is our second pepper ball and I will be getting a third. You can't beat the coarse grind the pepper balls make. However, they seem to break easily. The plastic on the ball broke on the first one. The handle on this brand broke while I was grinding. I think this is poor engineering. My advice is go with the cheapest and figure you're going to have to replace it within a year.
