Made of superior food-grade silicone that meets or exceeds even Germany's stringent food safety regulations, the flexible steamer fits inside most small-to-medium-sized pots and sits above the water on three silicone legs. Two handles aid in safely removing the steamer from a hot pot. Chef'n updated the design in 2007 by replacing the central metal post with a nylon core, making the steamer microwave-safe. The nylon core is heat-resistant to 400 degrees F; the silicone basket heat-resistant to 650 degrees F.
