Best have a great exhaust fan if you want to do heavy grilling indoors. I have done boneless chicken, swordfish steak, shrimp, steak and pork chops and the result were wonderful. Switch to the other side for bacon, eggs and pancakes. Clean up is great too. I have seen some grill/griddles for double the cost. This has also given me a more healthy cooking style for my family using only a light cooking spray.
Description of Chef's Design 20-Inch Double Burner Reversible Grill/Griddle
Grill tuna steaks or chicken breasts for dinner Saturday night, then griddle sausage and flapjacks for Sunday breakfast, all with the same piece of equipment. This reversible cast aluminum cookware covers two burners to maximize your cooking surface area, and the non-stick surface means you can minimize fat intake and clean up time. For once you can cook enough pancakes to feed the whole family at one time, instead of trying to keep the first batches warm in the oven while you make the rest.This 10-3/4-by-20-inch cooking surface turns two burners of your gas or electric stove into a large griddle or grill. The reversible griddle has a smooth side for making pancakes and eggs and a ribbed surface on the opposite side for grilling meats, seafood, or poultry indoors. The grooves on the grilling side drain fat away from meat for healthier cooking while the ribbing imprints meats with grill marks just as an outdoor grill does. The griddle is constructed of heavy, hand-cast aluminum, which is a superior conductor of heat. For easy maintenance, both sides of the griddle/grill are coated with a high-quality nonstick surface.
