BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOU EVER PLAN ON USING A KNIFE.
I have a decent set of Henckels that I bought about 4 years ago. I've had them professionally sharpened twice since I bought them and was never really satisfied with the edge that they came back with. I bought the M130 and have used it once and what a difference! My knives have never been sharper! I find myself wanting to prepare meals more often just so I get to use my killer "new" knives. I also used this sharpener on some other utility knives, pocket knives, carving knives, etc. If I could sharpen it I did it with the M130 and have never been happier!

Our J.A. Henkels Pro S knives started out being very sharp. Sharp enough to cut tomatoes effortlessly. And to keep them sharp we bought the J.A. Henkels Twinsharp Knife Sharpener. But over time we have noticed the edge becoming rough and not nearly as sharp or easy to use. Not to mention the "nails on a chalkboard" feeling every time you pull a knife through the sharpener.
So I read the reviews here and decided on the Chef's Choice M130 Platinum.
We got it today, and I read the instructions, which some called not so great, and easily and effortlessly returned our J.A. Henkels Pro S to professional sharpness! They may even be better than the originally were!
I even sharpened my Gerber multi-tool knife which has a 2" blade. It is now razor sharp, better than new.
We are VERY satisfied with this sharpener and highly recommend it.

The warning that the "knives will be sharp so be carefull" should be an audio so when you open the box, it yells at you! The knives were sharpened
per instructions (a must read!)and within a few minutes, both my husband and I had cut ourselves! A little care and we are both cut free, but initially look out! This sharpener really does the job!

I love this sharpener. It is easy to learn to use so that a non skilled non professional can sharpen their knives. They can keep them sharpened without trying to find a professional and paying high prices to keep those serated knives sharp. I risked buying 2 of the knife sharpeners without trying one, they came fast and one was for my son's birthday. I sharpened all my knives this afternoon and it did a great job and did it fast. My son just called me to let me know he had just gotten a really nice mule deer buck and how much better his hunting knife worked after he sharpened it on his sharpener.
