Seriously... Really?...
Are you going to dress your dog up to look like a giant chew toy for other canines?
News flash: Hot dogs are a food source for man's best friend. To make it move and try to escape would just make it fun for the hungry dog chasing your little poochy.
Would you dress as an enormous piece of cheesecake and go into public? No, of course not, others would tease you and make you the object of humiliation. This is the type of degradation that your dog's little ego does not need. This could push poochy over the edge. Doggy suicide is not a pretty thing. When he sees you pull this degrading crack head invented outfit from the box he has to be thinking "oh please, oh please don't put that on me".
I need to start a pet psychologist business with stuff like this on the market. Not sure if I can bring poochy back mentally after wearing this but, hey, I'll try if the price is right.
Looking like a giant chew toy or a delicious meal guarantees that your dog will need to be nimble and quick to escape his fellow 4 legged brothers and sisters. Hopefully the idiotic buns on the side also double as flotation devices. He can jump in the pool then and possibly save his own life. Depending on how hungry the predator is behind him.
I do believe that this outfit does have a purpose in certain situations:
1) Your poochy needs an ego check. deliver a lesson in humility.
2) Your dog is overweight and lazy. Put this on them and off to the dog park. Get poor Rex some pepperspray though, and allow them at least a sporting chance at survival.
Your pet can be your best friend and home defender. Robbing them completely of their pride and dignity is no way to treat a friend.
