Customer Review: It would be a great set if it were perfect

I purchased this set for my nephew who had it on his Amazon wishlist. I looked at it, but not every piece. I thought it was beautiful and considered ordering a set for myself. But I did not unpack and look at every piece. Fortunately, he did.Some of the pieces did not get coated so they are not useable.
I will be returning them for an exchange for a hopefully perfect set. If this was just a fluke and we get perfect stuff the next time out, I will get a set for myself. They are beautiful and well worth the money - if the whole set is manufactured properly.

16Pc Starter Sets include 4 each of 10" Dinner Plate, 8" Salad Plate, 6" Cereal Bowl, and 12oz Mug. Chip resistant, oven and dishwasher safe. Service for 4. Please Note: Marble Starter Sets on Cream do not have black rims like the Marble Sets on White do.Liven up the kitchen, table, and picnic spread with this colorful enamelware dinner set from CGS International. The 16-piece set includes four dinner plates, salad plates, bowls, and mugs in a cheery enamel finish. The pieces are lightweight and comfortable to handle, and the plates have a deep-dish design. The hand-applied enamel creates a splashy, marbleized effect offset by the pieces' heavy black rims. Though safe for both the dishwasher and the oven, these dishes are not designed for use in the microwave. The dinner plates measure 10-1/4 inches in diameter, and the salad plates measure 8 inches. The bowls are 6-1/4 inches in diameter, and the mugs stand 3 inches tall. --Emily Bedard
