Pros:
* Great big, simple display
* Buttons give good tactile feedback
* Loud enough for me to hear above my TV
* Easy to hold in hand, hang on hook, stand on counter, stick to fridge (magnet)
* Battery included
* Affordable enough to get a couple
Cons: (which are truly trivial to me)
* Only goes up to 99 mins
* No number pad. You have to hold down the button until it gets to the time you want. This is pretty fast though and I got accustomed to it.
* The magnet is on the center of the back while the buttons are on the bottom so if you press it hard while on the fridge it might be a little clumsy (pivot downward).

While the numbers are truly large and easy to read I was disappointed by the alarm.
This alarm is NOT any louder than any other kitchen timer.

This is a simple timer and I like it for its minimalism.
Couple of problems.
1. the alarm works only in count down mode, ie you set 3 mins and start and when it reaches 0 it sounds the alarm. if you count up to 3 mins from 0, the alarm does NOT sound.
2. there is no on/off switch
3. there is no clock. it is only a timer.
4. while stuck on the fridge using the magnet, cannot use the buttons. pressing the buttons at the lower edge creates a pivot effect on the unit and the magnet comes off

I got this so I could time and improve my test-taking skills. NOT for cooking. I ought to have verified prior to purchasing, but it's a shame I cannot "silence" the alarm...On the good side, it arrived extremely quickly
