No buttons to push or detailed instructions to read--this good old-fashioned mechanical timer just requires one turn of the knob and it begins to count. Wind it at least past 30 minutes and then back to the desired setting; the closer to 60 minutes the knob is turned, the longer the ring will last, up to three seconds. The timer ticks audibly to let you know it?s working, and the ring is loud enough to be heard in the next room. Measuring 3 by 3-5/8 inches, the sloped front is easily observed on a countertop, while a notch on the back allows the option of wall-mounting.
