Customer Review: As Bad as You Think

This item stopped working after about three uses. On each occasion I was smoking meat at under 250F. The probes are rated for much higher temperatures, yet still they die. I ordered a replacement sensor from CDN, and they ripped me off on shipping.
The replacement sensor was also short lived.
It seems as though these lousy sensors for any brand of digital thermometer are made by the same company, probably in China. Since there are no good options with digital thermometers, I would recommend the following:
Buy a multimeter that can read thermocouples (or a data logger if you can get you can afford it), and then buy some lower temp reading thermocouples (like T type - blue). Problem solved.
