What a great bag for lunch, small picnics, whatever! It doesn't keep food super cool (i think it would with an icepack), but my food is in the fridge at work, so that didn't matter to me. Nice color, quality made, and good size (I can fit breakfast, lunch and a snack!). Washable. Defiantely the best lunch bag i've seen in a while!Customer Review: stylish and practical

As a new "brown bagger", I searched high and low for a functional lunch tote that didn't say "frumpy". I came across the NY Built lunch tote on an environmentally friendly website. After reading rave reviews there and on Amazon.com, I decided to go ahead and order the tote in the dot print.
I received it and fell in love! The tote is much cuter in person! From the website pictures, the tote looks black but it's actually brown with vibrant polka dots. I have only carried it a week but have received several compliments as I walk in to work and ride up on the elevator.
As many have said in their reviews, the bag has a surprising amount of room. I have been able to carry two Rubbermaid containers, fruit cups, and water bottle with room to spare! The bag does have a rubbery smell at first but it does not affect the taste of the food and can be eliminated with a wash cycle.
Though the bag collapses flat for storage, it has a nice flat bottom which makes the bag stand up nicely. The stretchy neoprene allows the bag to conform to whatever it contains. I have also used the bag for carrying a book and notepad so it truly is a multipurpose tote!
I highly recommend the Built NY gourmet getaway tote for commuters, brown baggers, and environmentalists everywhere!
