I have used computerized machines before, but this one was unlike anything I have ever seen. It is absolutely amazing! It sews so quietly I can sew during the night right down the hall from the bedrooms and not disturb anyone. I did read the instructions before beginning, so threading was a snap. The bobbin winding and drop-in are easy to learn. The guide and machine make things so simple that I can't wait to get started on my next project! The case and extra accessories are nice, too. I have been struggling with two old machines that constantly had to be in the repair shop, which is not close to my home. My good friend told me about this Brother 6000I that she had recently purchased on line. It is a thrill to sew, once again. I have been sewing off and on and since high school (I'm now almost 69), and finally, it's a pleasure to sew again. One of the best features is push-button sewing ... push a button to start, push the same button to stop. I never even plugged in the foot control. Now I can't wait to get to my sewing machine!Customer Review: Awesome Buy!!!

I did not purchase this from Amazon, but from Best Buys website after doing a lot of research. This machine is BEAUTIFUL. It has an automatic threader, that you must treat with care or otherwise will bend (which I did, but that was completely operator error), the bobbin winder is fast, the entire thing is a godsend. I'm teaching myself to sew and the manual that comes with the sewing machine not only teaches you the correct terminology for all the included accessories, but techniques like gathering, smocking, and the proper needles to use with specific fabrics. The included accessories make this sewing machine an even greater buy. Really, all you need is an idea and some fabric. It is powerful, (I've smashed my finger under the presser foot once trying to sew something I could not sew)and fast when put on the highest setting. It truly is a joy to use. I would recommend this for anyone looking for another sewing machine or for a beginner. Can't wait til I bust out some real apparel with this bad boy!!!
