I feel like an idiot for buying this thing. It's made entirely out of plastic (??) which we all know is not a suitable container for HOT water! Perhaps this does render the carafe "unbreakable" but I would gladly take a breakable carafe over one that leaks toxic BPAs into my coffee every time I use it! In addition, within 5 cups of coffee the (plastic??) filter holder began to chip and by now it is broken entirely and completely unusable. I looked online to see about getting a new one and guess what? Hundreds of people are complaining about the filer breaking in exactly the same way. So now I'm an idiot for not reading ANY reviews before buying. You don't have to be!
(Can I also mention how ridiculous it is for something that holds 8oz to be called a "3 cup" coffee maker??--but again, this just makes me a bad consumer for not reading the fine print)

I bought one of these thinking the plastic would be better for work.
The unit lasted only two months before the rubber seal and plastic seat disentigrated.
The plastic handle / holding band slip when the beaker is hot.
It is drippy.
I am disgruntled.

...a single cup...small enough that it makes a nice travel amenity...however, bear in mind that three cup, in this case, amounts to only about a half a cup for most people...so you might want to consider the "8-cup" version...I've had mine for almost a year now and I'm quite happy with it.Customer Review: Easy, durable, high in quality

This is only my second french press, and it has been awhile since I've used one, but I made a near-perfect cup of coffee on my first try with this Bonjour model. It's so easy to use! The narrow diameter of the cylinder, combined with the tight seal around the plunger, makes it easy to keep the plunger level as you press down. And because the cylinder is plastic instead of glass, it's easy to pour the coffee without those annoying dribbles down the side. The filter is really good at trapping the ground coffee and sediments, and there's an additional screen at the spout, for good measure. My only complaint is that it can be hard to hand-wash because it's so narrow. (It's important to wash the oils and sediments out to keep the coffee tasting fresh.) I use my Bonjour press to press my loose Earl Grey tea leaves. It does a fantastic job and the measuring scoop you get with this thing is the perfect size for scooping tea. Get this... it even works great for pressing tea bags to get that extra kick of tea. I don't drink coffee (sorry if that is blasphemy), but I am sure it would do just fine with coffee. This press is NOT a standard U.S. 3 cups. You will do good to get 10-12 oz. out of it. Some may complain about that, but even though it is a little misleading, it is perfect for my 15 oz. mug.
