Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Blendtec Total Blender Four Side, BlackCustomer Review: Best bender ever Summary: 5 Stars
My wife has a smoothie almost every day and we have gone through 4 blenders in the last 4 years. Each one was more expensive than the last. They all burned out in less than a year. The Blentec works as advertised. It is quick but loud. It has more power than any blender I have ever seen and I expect it to last for a very long time. Cost is the only big negative.

I absolutely love this blender. It's very powerful, easy to operate, and easier to clean. It's a bit pricey, but I highly recommned it.
Customer Review: Blendtec TB-621-20 1,560-Watt Total Blender, Black Summary: 5 Stars
This blender is quite pricey, but its worth the money! It blends anything! It even knows when to stop blending. My mom loves it. I think its a great house warming gift.
Customer Review: Blendtec TB-621-20 Blender Summary: 5 Stars
Let me preface the comments with the statement that I rarely cook. I have only had the blender about 1 month, but have used it 18 times and would have used it more except for the need for groceries. We make mostly fruit and ice smoothies. By adding a cup of raw spinich and some carrots, we have increased fruit and vegetable consumption, reduced chain-store yogurt consumption, and reduced calorie intake from processed snacks. This can be done in the time of a TV commercial. I am still trying new recipes (mostly whatever I have) each time. I never owned a really nice blender before and used my previous blender (a 30-year-old wedding present) for egg custards, but not for more powerful uses. With the Blentec, I've made soups. As winter approaches, we will use more often. I probably will not use for salsa, because I love CHUNKY onion, cilantra, and tomato salsa. The Blentec might be too smooth. This purchase is worth the money. By following the directions of a cup of warm water and a drop of dishwashing detergent immediately following use, I have had no problems cleaning the container. However, I do see that eventually, the polycarbonate jar will need replacing, which is not cheap. I cannot yet predict that amount of uses before replacement. I would re-purchase this item.
Customer Review: Blendtec vs Vitamix Summary: 5 Stars
I've been doing green smoothies close to two years now, started with my 3HP Waring which worked great but does not have variable speeds which are a big help.
So I got a Vita Mix at the [...] roadshow after seeing the variable speed demo, and it has been a good blender for a year now, but I make thick smoothies, and I could smell the motor getting hot on the Vita Mix, and knew it was just a matter of time till I burned it out. Then the other day they had a BlendTec roadshow at [...], first time I'd seen one, though I had read about them. After seeing the video where they shove a rake handle into the machine (quickly I might add) and the machine just ate it up, I was impressed. The salesman knew his stuff, and I went home, put my Vitamix on ebay with Buy It Now, it sold overnight (name recognition), and I went down and bought the BlendTec the next day for about the same price as a Vita Mix. I've made three or four smoothies now, and this machine is the bomb.
It is a little loud, but it blends so well and so fast the noise is no big thing. All the different settings vary the speed to ensure everything gets blended and not stuck in the corners (no cavitation which is a big problem with the vitamix, an air bubble would get sucked to the bottom and I'd have to turn it off to let the bubble rise to be able to continue blending). The Blendtec does not cavitate and has plenty of power, this machine can handle. Don't need the tamper like on the Vita Mix, this machine does it all. I'm a tool guy, and I like this machine.
Too bad though that Blendtec does not include a larger blending container with the machine, the one that it comes with is supposed to be 64 ounces if filled to the brim. Well I make half gallon smoothies to last a little while, and there is no way you can fill this to the brim and be able to blend, with a lid on or off of it. So I needed to shell out some extra $$ to get the so called three quart container, which does work fine for my needs
