Had purchased the Cuisinart 4 slice @6mos prior and found it difficult to get just the right setting initially, burning and/or undercooking time and again, tired of this and my boyfriends complaints that his old 2 slice Black and Decker was much better I was happy to see they make a 4 slice! Out of the box it is HUGE.. well it looks huge and is bigger than the Cuisinart. Takes its time too BUT everything is evenly toasted and we haven't burned thin raisin toast, thick bagels or anything in-between since it arrived! :D
