Customer Review: A coffee maker suffering from designing for looks only

It is almost impossible to poor coffee without dripping. I remedied this using the previous model's carafe, it fits. The coffee needs to be nuked to be hot. The water container is stupidly made with a removable cover so if you fill to the top or do not maintain perfect horizontal position while inserting it you will have water dripping for a while on the counter. The basket for the coffee has a flat surface, steam collects on it and off course it results in water dripping on the counter.
The famous industrial designer Raymond Lowevy dictum "Form should follow function" was totally ignored for the looks. This is my 3rd Space maker coffee maker all previous one failed after a few years. Similarly previously I replace the Spacemaker toaster oven, also failed. Great looking too but with flows too, no broiling capability and no tray included. At least it works very well toasting as a oven.
