Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Black & Decker HS2776 Double-Decker Flavor-Scenter Steamer Deluxe Food SteamerCustomer Review: I don't really like it Summary: 2 Stars
This product was sent as a wedding gift. We had put another smaller steamer on our list, but I guess the relative thought bigger was better. Anyway, it didn't come with any instructions on how long to cook stuff so it's a guessing game. It is a bit of a pain to clean and takes up too much space in our apartment. I tried to cook rice in it and the rice was still hard after 30 minutes! If I just want to make 2 servings of vegetables it's just too long of a process. For me, it is just annoying to deal with. If you don't have much space and you're only cooking for 1 or 2 people then you should get a smaller steamer.
Customer Review: I found the recipe guide online Summary: 5 Stars
I got the steamer as a gift and it is the best gift I have received in years. I was also puzzled I didn't get any guides to help with the cook times. But I found out where I could get it online. Here's the link

Customer Review: I love this Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this steemer mostly for tamales. It cut my tamale steaming time in half. I can't believe how many I can fit in this. It heats up so fast and the best thing is my food doesn't taste like old bamboo anymore.
Customer Review: I use it nearly every day. Summary: 5 Stars
After burning too many vegetables on the stove, I bought a vegetable steamer. I only use distilled water in it just out of caution of forming deposits, and it does use a lot of water--about two cups for each meal. It also takes a bit longer to cook things than the instructions say. I give it 30 minutes for rutabagas and sweet potatoes. But it works well. I often use it to cook two things at a time on the two different levels. I've had it over a year and have had no problems.
Customer Review: Instructions were Incomplete Summary: 4 Stars
I have owned an older model like this one and loved it but after 10 years the timer stopped working. I purchased this one as a replacement and immediately looked at the instructions. Yes it was in many languages but totally incomplete! There was NO mention about how to cook the rice in the rice bowl or how much water to add. Also, the complete instructions about cooking other foods was missing. I went to the Black & Decker site which had nothing but finally found the complete instructions online at [...]. I hope that Black & Decker will remedy this situation.
