Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of the Black & Decker EHC650 2-Speed Food Chopper with 3-Cup BowlCustomer Review: you can lick your chops with this chopper Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent unit. It isn't that large, as the bowl is 4" tall and just a smidgen over that size wider, so it's not a giant food processor unit. But this works really really well on stuff like chopping up parsley, so that you can sprinkle chopped parsley on your soup or other food, without having the parsley get smushed and mashed. It works well on all the herbs I've tried on it so far, as it chops them into small pieces without the herbs getting smeared/smashed/smushed into something that is green but looks like green algae or green ooze, instead of being crisp. Too often when you chop herbs with a knife or mezzaluna, it takes a long time. When you use similarly sized choppers, or blenders, etc, you end up with stuff that looks like you hit part of it with a hammer such that it looks all smashed up into mushy green stuff which is not appetizing. What's really great about this chopper is that it cuts the stuff into nice separate parts in 5 to 8 seconds, and it does not leave the herbs "mushy" in appearance--instead, they are just what you want, crisp but a lot smaller in size, and the result looks crisp, not smashed, if I can convey that idea. I have other small size choppers, but they can't compare to this.
As a disclaimer, I have not had, do not now have, and will not have, any financial, employment, consulting, or other interest in what I review.
