Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Black & Decker DCM18S Brew 'n Go Personal Coffeemaker with Travel MugCustomer Review: A little Powerhouse D!! Summary: 5 Stars
A lady had given me my first Brew 'n go Coffeemaker with Travel Mug. That was approximately 2 or more years ago. I ordered me another one about a month ago because I was scared mine might go out and I wouldn't have another, so I absolute had to have another one!! My sister came to visit and loved it's performance so much that she ordered herself one online. It is without a doubt the best Coffeemaker I've ever owned and I'm 65 years old. I will without a doubt make sure I always have one in possession. I must admit tho' that I use #2 coffee filters in my Coffeemaker. They are readily available and they work better than the filter that comes with it. IT'S THE VERY GREATEST PEOPLE !!!!!!!
Customer Review: A must for coffee lovers!! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift and he just loves it!! He is making good use of it - We both love it because it is easy to use and clean up is easy, just wash his travel mug and coffee basket! I would recommend this to anyone who loves coffee!! The only thing I didnt like was the size of the mug...... It is kind of small - my husband cant use any of his other travel mugs because the space on the coffee maker is just enough for the mug that it comes with!! I would say this is the only problem they need to address when making a new design - otherwise it is a great product!!!
Customer Review: A must have for coffee enthusiasts Summary: 5 Stars
I am very pleased with my Black N Decker Brew and Go coffee maker. I like the convenience of making just one cup and clean up is really easy. I also like the fact that you don't need to buy coffee filters. The coffee remains hot in the cup for much longer than I thought. Definitely worth having one in the office or in the home. Now go get your drink on !!
Customer Review: A nice idea that falls short Summary: 3 Stars
The product concept is great: brew coffee into a travel mug and go. It's the execution of this concept that falls short on a practical level. Consider the competition: a simple filter holder, a tea kettle, and a travel mug of your choice. Boil water, poor it over coffee and you're ready to roll--that's as easy as it gets; how does Brew n' Go compare?
Brew n' Go is essentially a one cup coffee maker, yet with a setup similar to larger capacity units. Using Brew 'n Go, I find myself putting in a lot of preparation and cleanup for that single cup. No matter how careful I fill this unit, water escapes underneath, pooling near the power cord. Then there's the issue of steam, because this little thing puffs out more steam than any larger unit I've previously owned. In fact, there is so much steam that I moved this unit away from cabinets to avoid damaging them.
In summary, yes: it makes coffee. However, if you enjoy working hard for that Cuppa Joe, go ahead and buy one. After 6 months of use, I'm ready to throw Brew 'n Go into the GoodWill bin.
Customer Review: A nice little item Summary: 5 Stars
This little rascal allows me to get a pretty quick cup in my office. I don't have to worry about turning it off afterwards, either!
The convenience outweighs the need to dump the grounds and clean it. A set of filters would make that easier, though.
