We like B&D because of over-all durability and effective performance of the designed function.
We replaced a previous B&D under-counter can opener after about 20 years. It was still working, but getting sluggish and under-performing just a bit.
Momma said it was time for a new one, but to make sure: "It is another Black and Decker!" Who was I to argue?

This opener was the only under counter can opener I have found in the black and stainless steel color. It works and looks good with my other kitchen appliances.
