These bags are *extremely* fragile. I have to double bag my modest 1-person garbage supply to make it to the curb without messy and frustrating spillage. The bags are small and expensive and definitely do not withstand even moderate use. I will not buy them again.

BioBag Bathroom Trash Bags - Biodegradable and Compostable BioBags waste bags take the mess out of trash collection keeping your trash can clean. Made from a compostable, biodegradable material that is based on starch from non-GMO corn, vegetable oil and other renewable resources, these bags help to eliminate regular plastic bags from our environment. Many polyethylene based plastic bags can take over 100 years to degrade. When disposed, BioBags will biodegrade as naturally as food scraps, leaving no harmful residue. BioBags meet the ASTM 6400 requirements as well as California Law SB 1749 The ASTM 6400 requirements are the gold standard for compostable 'plastic'. BioBags meet this requirement. Some manufacturers are blending additives to polyethylene to produce 'degradable' bags. Unfortunately, this process fragments the bags into pieces of plastic debris that do not meet the ASTM D6400 standard for biodegradable and compostable plastic.
