I am 58 - would NEVER have purchased this for myself. Received it for a gift, and use it almost DAILY! What I would have thought was "just another gimick" is a wonderful tool. I can put in the water,egg,Canadian bacon and whole wheat English muffin and go get dressed - it's all done at the same time, and even stays warm for a few minutes if I can't get to it right away! I can do a HEALTHY "Egg Mc-" (you know the rest!) with fat free cheese- protein rich and it will get you through the morning! The hard (or soft) boiled egg feature works great too - quick and easy - no timing! Clean up is a snap - BRAVO!!
