Simmer a homemade Bolognese sauce in this versatile 3-1/2-quart vegetable pan. German manufacturer Beka commissioned three-star Michelin chef Marco Pierre White to design this pan as part of his White Heat cookware collection. The chef's extensive experience is reflected in the small details of his pan design: laser-etched capacity levels along the pan's interior assist in precise measurement while the pan rims gently flare outward to reduce spills while pouring. Equipped with a fitted lid for heat and flavor containment, the vegetable pan rises to a myriad of applications, from boiling to simmering to blanching.Crafted in nonreactive hard-anodized aluminum, the pan exterior resists dents, rust, and corrosion over years of use. A honeycomb-pattern copper plate, fused to the bottom of the pan, enhances its conduction, distribution, and retention of heat. For hassle-free cooking and cleaning, Weilburger nonstick treatment coats the pan interior. The chef transfers the pan to and from the burner by grasping its securely riveted handle. The handle's hollow-cast stainless-steel construction stays cool to the touch. With an installed steam vent for better air circulation, the lid features a stainless-steel loop handle for quick removal. The vegetable pan adapts for oven use safely up to 475 degrees F.
