So far this timer has worked consistently...but I wish someone had told me that it consistently rings two minutes early before I used it for the first time!
Once I figured that out, though, I haven't had any problems with it. It's very heavy and durable, so while I'm not sure how useful the magnet in the base would be (I can just picture it sliding down the front of my fridge), I can't see it breaking easily.
I read another review that said theirs doesn't ring if it's set for less than 10 minutes. I haven't had any problem. It has a shorter ring, but it definitely goes off when it's supposed to (except for the two minute deal).
Really, can't beat the price. Now that I know to set the timer two minutes past when I want it to go off, I'm satisfied. If you get it, I'd just recommend running a timed trial before you actually rely on it since I obviously can't guarantee that all of them are going to be off the same way mine is.
