This is a great stand. The size told in the specs is correct if your going to place in a tight area like me. I rated it 4 stars because even though I am completely satisfied and would recommend it, it does not do anything more then expected. It looks nice shelves are of a decent size. The gap between shelves is the size of a DVD to stand up. I use one shelf to hold some movies and games. On thing would make this shelf better if it had a glossy look instead of a wooded, but then it might cost a couple hundred since most glossy black shelves do. It was also very easy to install. Just four screws for the back and the shelves slide in (lay it down and push the shelves, a lot easier), the rest are nails to hammer in for the back cover. The height of the product is perfect for me, it's short enough where I can still open the shutter that go over it.
