I got these the other day for $8.99 during the lightning deal. I was skeptical about their quality since they were so cheap, but I read the other good reviews so I decided it was worth a try for the price. I got them today and I am very surprised at how nice they are! They're heavy and very nice looking as well. These are pretty. They come very nicely packaged and would be inexpensive to use for gifts of goodies around the holidays. I purchased them with the intention of using to serve desserts, particularly a 9" cheesecake that I really needed a nice plate for. I ordered 3 sets and intended to give some away as gifts with desserts but was dissapointed in the flaws that I found on the bottom of all chargers. Each one had a varying deep scratch that ran in a circular pattern almost like a machining flaw. I should have returned them but didn't. If they had not been flawed I would give this item 5 stars for the value at this discounted price.Customer Review: Charger Plates

Even those these chargers were beautiful, the plates in my Christmas china rocked so badly that I would never use them with that china. They were fine with my day-to-day china, but I would want to use them with both. They would be great to use as a serving plate, but I have plenty of those already.
