I gave only four stars because of the packaging but as a product it looked classy after it came out of the box. I bought four and gave away one to a friend with a little tissue and a book on wines and a nice gift bag.Both of us use it constantly in our wine club meetings and while it feels flimsy the mechanism actually works well

It doesn't feel very sturdy....but it gets the job done. My only complaint is the lack of instructions -- since I had never used a wine opener like this before, I didn't really know how to use it. I had to figure it out on my own. I've seen this complaint about other Pinzon wine products. Customer Review: Too long to wait!

I bought this to replace a similar wine opener. The quality is not good. The arms were wobbly and flimsy. We didn't even bother testing it before we sent it back. Customer Review: Plastic seems fragile

I was hoping that the product would be sturdier. When I use it, I can feel the tension in the plastic and it feels like it could break easily. I already owned a metallic one of these, and I still prefer it over this new one. Also, be careful with the foil cutter - I cut my finger using it!
