I have the Shun's chef's knife and got this while it was on sale for when I need a smaller knife. Wow! I love it. It's true about how little effort is required to slice a tomato. My 12 year-old son didn't understand all my exclamations while slicing the tomato ("What's the big deal, Mom, it's just a knife.") So I had him cut the tomato with a cheap knife and then again with this Shun. He said, "Whoa! I get it now..." Feels great in your hand while slicing. I ended up looking around for an excuse just to cut more stuff... Lemon for my water... Honey, would you like a lemon too? Apples, anyone?...Customer Review: handy knife your hand will love
