Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Aerolatte Deluxe Edition Milk Frother with Stand, Stainless SteelCustomer Review: Buy this and forget Starbucks Summary: 5 Stars
From Frappe to Cappachinos at home in minutes for dirt cheap - this is the machine !! Buy this and forget Starbucks. Seriously!
Customer Review: Cappuccino Short-cut Summary: 5 Stars
This is my second Aerolatte frother. I purchased my first 3 years ago, and it's still going strong. This one is to keep at the office.
For years, I steamed milk for my cappuccinos. Until I purchased my first pod-type espresso machine that didn't include a steamer wand. The Aerolatte is a great replacement. I microwave a small amount of milk, then use this frother for about 30 seconds for a really nice foam that lasts. In my opinion, it beats steaming the milk. The steam can water down your drink. And, with this method you'll never burn your milk. Clean-up is simple - just run under water and spin it dry.
It takes two AAA batteries (included) that will last about a year using it briefly every day like I did. The Aerolatte website claims the motor is guaranteed for 5 years. The version I have at home is the To-Go. From the description on the manufacturer's website, I get the impression this deluxe model has a more powerful motor. Although, I have not noticed a difference in the two, and don't think more power is necessary, unless you're going to use this for something other than frothing milk. I've used it to whip eggs and butter into a hollandaise sauce.
Obviously, owning two of these, I would recommend it, even to the occasional cappuccino drinker.
Customer Review: Cappuccino every day Summary: 5 Stars
With this Aerolatte frother, I get to enjoy cappuccino everyday. It's very easy to use and clean. And it looks great on my kitchen counter.
Customer Review: Close enough! Summary: 4 Stars
This is a really convenient way to froth milk for a quick faux cappucino. I just brew regular coffee and add this to the top with some cinnamon. The only surprise -- which isn't really, when you think about it -- is that the milk remains cold. I was used to a steam frother, which took care of heating the milk at the same time. When I want to go the extra mile, I'll throw my milk in the microwave and heat it first before using the Aerolatte, and that works perfectly. Cleanup is a breeze and the stand is truly creative and useful.
Customer Review: Coffee Pot Companion: Quick, Easy and Cheap Lattes! Summary: 5 Stars
What a great investment! I purchased this on Amazon for the bargain price of $11, and it's more than paid for itself in chain-store savings. Thanks to the Aerolatte, I now make my own lattes -- without having to purchase any expensive, bulky new equipment (e.g., an espresso maker)!
I have a coffeemaker with built-in grinder, so I brew myself a very strong cup of coffee (about 1/2 of what I'd expect to drink). I then heat milk (the other 1/2) in the microwave, and once it's done, I begin frothing with the Aerolatte. After frothing for about 30 seconds, slightly longer than they suggest, I add the strong coffee. With just a drop of brown sugar, yum, it's perfect! (I use skim milk, but I'm sure it'd be even more delicious with 2% or whole!)
The stand is very handy and ensures that the gadget is readily available. My Aerolatte sits on my kitchen counter, right next to the coffee pot -- it hardly takes up space, but it sure makes my mornings a lot more tasty!
