Customer Review: AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker - Incredible
Summary: 5 Stars

I've only had the AeroPress for a couple of weeks but, I'm OVERWHELMED!!! I love a good cup of cofee. Up 'til now, I have always used a drip coffee maker. It's hard to believe that this inexpensive little contraption can be soooo good. I have developed a taste for Kona, Costa Rican, and French Roast coffees. I grind my own beans and my drip coffee maker would produce a pretty good pot compared to Folgers, Maxwell House, etc... Something was missing though when I compared my coffee to the gourmet shops. Now I know. I've tried using the AeroPress brewing recommendations and methods used by a couple of the reviewers. I have developed a system that combines all of these and that produces a great cup of coffee without using what I consider an excessive amount of grounds. I use one AeroPress measuring spoon/cup of a fine grind, like fine sand, and 140*-150* water filled to the top of 2 mark on the chamber and stirring for 1.5 to 2 minutes. Insert the wet plunger so that the rubber is completely inside the chamber and wait 4 or 5 seconds. Then slowly push the plunger a half inch at a time. A 2 or 3 second pause between each push seems to work best. When you see that all of the water is through the chamber, you can go ahead and fully depress. Add 8 to 10 ounces of heated or iced water, I like 185* to 190*, and enjoy. You'll have a cup of coffee to rival any of the gourmet shops for a fraction of the price and use only slightly more coffee than the old drip maker used. Thank you AeroPress!!!!

I love the AeroPress. Makes excellent coffee and lattes. I've given two of them as gifts.

Good tasting brew, sometimes even with mediocre coffee. Tidy expelling of grounds, easy clean up.

Customer Review: AeroPress Convert
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great product. I am not one to adopt new technology. My gold filter has served me very well for over a decade now, but this press makes an even better cup of coffee. Even smoother and no sentiment whatsoever. Colleague "forced" me to try it out and I am now a convert. Paper filter can be re-used, so no need to buy extras - it comes with more than you'd need for years (350 count) if you re-use. Very easy to clean. Seems like the rubber seal on the end of the plunger could be subject to deterioration if not cleaned well after use. I've just bought a second one to use at work. Can't have my second cup of the day be less than stellar.

A very convenient and compact coffee maker. Ideal for people who travel a lot. Makes a very good brewed coffee, and takes up only the space of a travel mug in your luggage.
