I really like this scale. I had an older model scale from American Weigh and it worked great, my problem with it was you had to turn the scale upside down and use a switch to get it from grams to pounds. But I trusted American Weigh and bought this one and I'm glad I did. Love all the weigh measurements, no longer have to turn the scale upside down to change measurement type. The platform is nice and large. It is also a very nice looking scale. I would recommend highly. I use it for dividing up pounds of hamburger that I bought in bulk, also great if you are watching what you eat - gram weighing is more accurate than 1 tablespoon or 1 cup of this or that. Have you ever tried measuring croutons with a tablespoon or bulky cereal with a measuring cup - doesn't work very well. But you can measure the grams and know exactly how many calories you are eating - most nutrition labels provide the gram weight with the serving size. Digital kitchen scales are great!
