This fish feeder was made for an aquarium and I bought it for one lone betta fish in a bowl.. Although it's an awkward fit, it stays up and does a wonderful job. I went on vacation for 3 weeks, and when I came back my fish was happy as could be, albeit his bowl needed to be cleaned!! Would recommend to a friend!Customer Review: Fish feeder?

This feeder is better then most but, it still is not there. Timer is great and to have different times to feed during the day is nice. Down side is that the amount of food dropped is hard to set and is not consistant. On one or two occations in the week that I have been using it the trap door did not open and the fish gave me a dirty look. I worry that if I leave them for two weeks when I go on vaction when I return they will have eaton each other. Kinda like that servivor reality show on TV. I bought this product to feed my fish on vacatioon. I thought I woould test it before I left on my vacation. The set up is very complicated. As others have said do not lose the instructions. I tested it manually to see how much feeding it would deliver and every time it would deliver a different amount of food. So your fish are left out for luck. I guess you get what you pay for. But for the week I am gone I am hoping it would at least keep my fish alive.Customer Review: Good feeder, a bit confusing to use

I have to agree with other users that this auto fish feeder is a bit hard to use. The instructions don't help much, but once you figure it out, it works well. My fish are happy and healthy and the feeder is working reliability. You can program it to feed up to 4 different times and for each feeding time, you can program 1 or 2 feedings. You can also tell it to stop feeding and keep the correct time - then later come back and set it to feed again. (Again, not the easiest to program this, but it is possible). Alot of people complain about how this is difficult to program, for many it may be, but if your relatively good with computers you shouldn't have any problem figuring it out quickly! As far as performance goes, it only lasts as long as the batteries do. So make sure you have powerful enough batteries. Some you can buy really really cheap and they only last a week or 2 max. like 99 cents for 8 batteries. but I bought some 2 for a dollar and they have been up for over a month and doing great.- I have my feeder feed my two clownfish- and firefish a small amount twice a day!- and it works great!- I just feed them some frozen food with that every other day.
Overall I definitely recommend this feeder- very reliable, very cheap and very customizable.
Just make sure you have it on the right setting for amount of feeding- one time I had it on max instead of min and there was accidentally a dump full of food in tank- not good! -Also test feed it a few times in your hand to make sure it's the right amount that you want.
