This fan looks really cool - I figured I could get this fan and pretend I was a newspaper reporter from the 40's, hammering away at a rickety desk while my trusty metal fan blew beads of sweat off my face in the heavy Chicago night. NO SUCH LUCK. I found that this fan did not blow an adequate amount of air to keep me comfortable while sustaining this fantasy. It makes a pleasant whizzing sound, and yeah, I guess it's pretty quiet, but that's what happens when you don't blow a whole lot of air around.
